HR Actions

HR actions are online requests that are used to make changes to employee accounts. Remember, HR Actions:

  1. Require a workflow to function properly.
  2. Include actions items that either an employee or someone on the employee's behalf completes.

It is important to recall the different HR Action Types. Types determine WHO completes the HR Action: the employee or someone on behalf of the employee (i.e., Manager). Types also determine where the HR Action is accessed by the employee or other individual.

Review the chart below for a summary of each type.

My Employee Action Request

This request type is typically completed by managers or administrators to handle scenarios such as promotions, salary changes, hiring, and terminations. Someone is making a change to the employee's account.

When configuring, you also need to select a Subtype. A subtype helps determine where/when in the system the HR Action is used.  Subtypes include Regular, Hire, Re-Hire, Termination, Global Rate Table, and Job Info.

Managers or Administrators access these HR Actions by navigating to Team > HR > HR Actions

My Information Action Request

This request type is typically completed by employees when information is needed and updated employee accounts. Employees are updating their own personal information.

Employees access these HR Actions by navigating to My Info > My HR > HR Actions

When configuring an HR Action, choose the type correctly. Once selected, you may not edit the HR Action type.

HR Action Types

When configuring an HR Action, there are two different HR Action Types.

  1. Types determine WHO completes the HR Action: the employee or someone on behalf of the employee (i.e., Manager).
  2. Types determine where the HR Action is accessed by the employee or other individual.
