Metrics Metrics are the building blocks or units of measurement defined by a company. These are the standards by which employees are measured against to determine readiness to move into key positions. Examples are Potential, Ability to Relocate, or Performance. Metrics are found under Admin > HR Setup > Succession Planning > Default Metrics Configuration. Watch the clip below to see how to navigate to the Default Metrics Configuration.

Succession Profile A succession profile compiles and holds the metrics by which employees will be measured for specific key role positions. Employees may be assigned one succession profile in their employee record. Review the Create and Assign a Succession Profile article on how to create a succession profile and then assign it to an employee record.

Succession Plans Succession plans are developed for employees and rate or measure the employees against the metrics found in the succession profile. The history of ratings or measurements of readiness is viewed within the plans. Succession plans are updated by managers under the Team tab. They are found under: Team > Talent > Succession Planning > Succession Plans. |
