Have you ever needed to store information for employees but found out in the employee record that there is not a field to do that? You may want to store employee's favorite food for the company's lunch date or need T-shirts sizes for all the uniform. If so, you can create HR Custom Fields. This field will be displayed in the employee profile. Just like any other field like name, address, or pay information. This field may then be updated for each employee and reports run for information when needed. Navigation: Menu > Admin > HR Setup > Custom Field
To check the field in the employee profile: Navigation: Menu > Team > My Team > Employee Information

| Security access If you need managers or employees to update HR Custom Fields, just ensure the appropriate security access is granted in the specific security profiles. Remember: Employees are given access to their own information on the ESS tab. Managers are given access to their employees' information on the HR tab. | After accessing either the HR or ESS tab of the specific security profile, look for the HR Custom Values field. If set to View/Edit (Custom), you may grant access for each specific HR Custom Field. (See next image) |
