Survey Security

After you create a survey, the next step is to activate and verify the security permissions for administrators and managers. Two security levels are configured for each survey: Manager Security and Employee Security.

Manager Security

The permissions for administrators or managers are granted on the HR tab.

Navigation: Menu > Admin > Profiles/Policies > Security

  1. From the Company Security Profiles page, select the View/Edit Security Profile icon for Manager.
  2. In the Security Items widget, select the HR tab.
  3. In the Employee section, locate Survey Collectors. Select the applicable permission. The Survey Collectors permission allows administrators and managers to view which surveys were assigned to employees. Select Add to allow managers to add or assign surveys to employees.
  4. In the HR Tables section, locate Survey Results. Select the applicable permission. The Survey Results permission provides administrators and managers access to view survey results under Admin > HR Setup > Surveys
  5.  In the HR Tables section, locate Surveys. Select the applicable permission. The Surveys permission provides administrators and managers access to create, modify, or delete surveys.

Employee Security

Employees receive a survey to omplete via their To Do item; therefore, no additional security is needed for permissions. However, there is a security setting on their view. The permissions for employees are granted on the ESS tab.

Navigation: Menu > Admin > Profiles/Policies > Security

  1. From the Company Security Profiles page, select the View/Edit Security Profile icon for Employee.
  2. In the Security Items widget, select the ESS tab.
  3. In the Employee section, locate Survey. Select View to make it visible. Surveys will not be visible in the ESS menu by default when a new Security Profile is created.

If this field is null or blank, employees cannot access to the assigned survey by navigating to Menu > My Info > My HR > Surveys.

  4. In the My Survey Items section, there is a list of surveys created in the solution. For each individually named survey, if a company wants employees to view their answers to previously submitted surveys or view expired surveys, then select the checkbox.
