Like Auto Groups, Filter Groups' members are automatically added to a group based on defined employee criteria. Employees are added or removed from the group based on whether they meet the set criteria at any given time. |
Unlike Auto Groups, however, Filter Groups allow you to filter against multiple criteria at once as opposed to a single attribute per group. Many filters are available, including cost centers, demographics, employee/pay type, and user profiles. Download the document below for a full list of available filters. |

| AND/OR/NOT Filters are applied using AND, OR, NOT logic. AND connects two conditions and returns information only when both conditions are true. OR connects two conditions and returns information when either condition is true or if both conditions are true. NOT negates a specific condition and returns information when this condition is false, or not present. |
| For example, the Filter Group shown below would include only non-exempt employees from the Columbia and Kirksville locations who do not work 3rd shift. |

| How are Filter Groups Used? Filter Groups are ideal when you need employees automatically added or removed from a group based on multiple employee attributes or a single employee attribute that is not available from the Auto Groups widget. |
