Auto Groups

Auto Groups are exactly what they sound like: groups that are automatically populated. These groups are auto populated based on major employee fields in the employee record, such as employee type, pay type, and cost center. Employees automatically move in and out of these groups as the associated information changes in their employee record. 

 

Auto Groups are easily enabled and disabled from the Company Setup page. Flip each configuration image below to see the resulting Auto Group on the Groups screen.  






 



 


 



How are Auto Groups Used? 

Companies use Auto Groups in a variety of ways, but one advantage to Auto Groups is how quickly and easily they can be enabled and disabled with a single click. This can be helpful when you need a group created quickly for reporting or audit purposes.
