Checklist Item Settings Best Practices

Other checklist settings help you control how and when employees or applicants complete the checklist items. This section discusses: 

  1. Enforce Completion Order option in a checklist.
  2. Send Reminder Notification option in a checklist item. 

 


Enforce Order Completion Checkbox 

 




Enforce Completion Order
In the Checklist settings, the Enforce Completion Order box, if selected, forces employees to complete the included checklist items in order. 

 




Best Practice Tip 
To enforce completion order, verify that each checklist item has the Confirmation Required setting selected.  

 


Send Reminder Notification Checkbox   

 



Send Reminder Notification  
If a checklist item is not completed within the allotted time use the Set Reminder Notification option to alert an employee to complete the item. 

 




Best Practice Tip
You must also configure the Global Notification named Checklist Reminder. This contains the email message, recipients, and timeframe specifics for the notification.
