Additional Checklist Items

Modified on Thu, 4 May, 2023 at 1:51 PM

Common checklist items to configure are Simple Check, HR Action, Custom Form, and Screen Links.

In addition to the basic items, there are other checklist items which provide additional options when sending To-Do tasks to employees or applicants.  Today we cover two of the more specialized items:
  1. Content
  2. Upload Document
Content

This checklist allows you to add specialized content that includes images, videos, links, and more.

Employee View of Content Checklist Item

The created content is displayed to the user in the checklist view. The checklist becomes a visually appealing experience.

As an example, employees play a video directly from the checklist rather than going outside of the HR solution to access. Maybe your company has a "Welcome to the Company" video for all new hires to view.

Configure Content

To configure a content checklist item, click on each (+) for each field on the settings widget.

  1. To Be Completed By – Enter who should receive the checklist item. Is it the employee, manager, or someone else?
  2. Name – Name the checklist. This appears to the employee as the title of the checklist item.
  3. Content Options – Icons for images, links, video, and charts may be selected. Once selected, an additional setup screen appears for the source file locations.
  4. Settings - Source Code - Enter the embed code for the video. In this example, it is embedded code from the video player.
  5. Text – Enter text for employee to read. This could be instructions or information. Formatting such as font size, color, etc. is available.

Remember

When editing an existing checklist, such as adding a checklist item or changing a checklist item, the edits only affect checklists that are newly assigned to employees. Current checklists already assigned to employees are not updated with the edits.

Upload Document

This checklist allows you to add an option for employees to upload documents to their employee profile record.
