Post and Unpost a Schedule

Schedule

At the heart of the Scheduler solution is the schedule. This is where scheduling managers can add, edit, and assign shifts.

Scheduling managers must assign shifts to employees in order for them to know when they need to work. This occurs in the schedule. Each schedule covers a specific span of time for a group or multiple groups of employees and includes what shifts need to be assigned, who can work those shifts, the shifts that have already been assigned, and so much more. This is used by scheduling managers to ensure that they have fulfilled the work requirements for their company.

Post a Schedule

Posting a schedule makes scheduled shifts visible to employees in their My Schedule view and pushes the schedule information to the employee's timesheet.

Navigation: Menu > Team > Schedule > Advanced Scheduling > Schedules

  1. From the Schedules page, select to view the day, week, or month view of the schedule you wish to post.
  2. Select the Actions dropdown (ellipses) Post Schedule.
  3. Select Yes in the Post Schedule dialog box.

Note: Schedules may also be posted from any schedule view by selecting the Actions menu and selecting Post Schedule.

Unpost a Schedule

Some companies may choose to have the schedule lock once it has been posted. In this case, the schedule will need to be unposted in order to make any edits. The process to unpost a schedule is the same as posting a schedule.

Navigation: Menu > Team > Schedule > Advanced Scheduling > Schedules

  1. From the Schedules page, select to view the day, week, or month view of the schedule you wish to post.
  2. Select the Actions dropdown (ellipses) Unpost Schedule.
  3. Select Yes in the Post Schedule dialogue box.
