| When completing a manual rehire, the termination date clears out and a rehired date displays in the date's widget. Rehire with an HR Action Rehiring using an HR Action allows for an approval of the rehire before the employee is activated in the system. Just like the New hire and Termination HR Actions, this is done from the HR Action screen. The HR Action is attached to a workflow and in the workflow, a person(s) is named to act as the approver. Fields to complete in the HR Action vary based on company needs. Your managers need to know where to access the Rehire HR Action and to remember to click Submit to start the process. This is accomplished in the Team tab under HR > HR Actions. |

Reminder #2 If you have different EINs, only use the HR Action if the employee is being re-hired into the same EIN. If the employee is being hired into a different EIN, please use the New Hire Action. Conclusion This ends the discussion on how to hire, terminate and rehire employees. Remember there are different options for each, and which option your company uses depends on how your company has been configured. |
