Pay Calculations Rules with Rate Impacts 

The Pay Calculation Profile can be used to apply an employee's rate table to their calculated time and display the rate details on timesheets and reports. 

Some of the most used rules that impact Rates: 

  1. Apply Rate Table (Counters) 
  2. Apply Weighted Average Overtime Rate 
  3. Calculate Rate Based on Period 

 

Apply Rate Table (Counters) Rule 





 


This rule allows users to apply the employee's rate table or a specific rate table to the employee's calculated time. 


This rule must be used to see the rate data in the Employee timesheets and Reports. 

 


Apply Weighted Average Overtime Rate Rule



 




 







This rule combines the different pay rates an employee worked at into a weighted rate, which is then used for determining overtime pay. 

 


Calculate Rate Based on Period Rule 



 



 





This rule calculates the average rate of a previous period. Counter inputs and rate table selections determine what time and amounts are included in the average rate calculation. The output can be applied to any counter and will override any previously calculated rate for that counter.
