Items for Applicants

As applicants apply for positions, there are items or fields to activate and/or configureSome fields gather data from applicants while other fields help you manage applicants

In this section, we define and discuss:
  1. Referrals
  2. Quick Apply
  3. Hiring Stages
  4. Additional Applicant Information

Referrals

This area allows you to designate how an applicant may have been referred, by creating a list of options that the applicant selects when completing the online application for a job posting. Referrals are company defined.

For your company, consider if you need applicants to notate their referral. If yes, make a list of the referral options to be configured and then displayed to applicants.

Referrals appear on the Resume tab of the online application.

Quick Apply

Quick Apply is a feature that may be activated on individual job requisitions once set up on the company level. Quick Apply lets applicants apply to job postings with a one-page application with minimal information. Applicants for these jobs are not required to complete the entire online application or create an applicant profile.

After recruiter's review information and want to continue the process with the applicant, applicants may then be asked to complete an applicant profile.

This allows your company to potentially pre-screen applicants or satisfy a "C-suite" application need.

Consider if this option needs to be set up for your company.

Hiring Stages

Hiring Stages refer to the steps or stages in the hiring process. There are 10 default hiring stages that may be edited or deleted. Additional company specific hiring stages may be added also.

As applicants apply for positions and go through the hiring process, you update hiring stages within the application for individuals.

Consider which hiring stages are needed for your company. Also decide if a workflow needs to be added to any hiring stage.

Additional Applicant Information

Does your company need to obtain additional information from the applicant that is not part of the normal online application that is configured? There are two options to configure to accomplish this:

  1. Applicant Custom Fields
  2. Job Requisition Questionnaires

Select the tabs below to gain an understanding of what each option does and how they differ.

Consider which, if any, your company needs to setup.

APPLICANT CUSTOM FIELDS

Applicant custom fields are client defined fields that are configured to ask for additional information in the application. Applicants complete the fields in the designated applicant profile tabs. These custom fields are configured as a keyable field, specific formats such as date/time, or with drop-down selections.

Advantages:

When the applicant is hired, information in applicant custom fields may be associated with employee custom fields.

Applicant custom fields show for all job postings. All applicants complete their application.

JOB REQUISITION QUESTIONNAIRES

Job Requisition Questionnaires are client questions that are configured to ask for additional information in the applicationA separate tab is created in the applicant profile. These custom fields are configured as a keyable field, specific formats such as date/time, or with drop-down selections.

Advantages:

Job requisition questionnaires are attached to individual job requisitions. They allow your company to ask different questions for different job postings.

They also allow for knockout questions; questions which flag applicants, so they are potentially eliminated from your recruiting consideration.
