EEO-1 Form
The EEO-1 Component 1 form is a mandatory annual data collection that requires all private sector employers with 100 or more employees, and federal contractors with 50 or more employees meeting certain criteria, to submit demographic workforce data, including data by race/ethnicity, sex, and job categories. The HR solution automatically populates this form with information. Electronic data files may also be generated to meet EEOC specifications.
Create an EEO-1 Form
The EEO-1 form will populate the available company information and employment data totals found in the solution. Populated data on the form can be edited, if needed. A company’s Unit Number (assigned by the United States EEOC) and the appropriate NAICS Code (activity performed by most employees across all company holdings) is required.
Navigation: Menu > Team > HR > Forms > Government Forms > EEO-1
- From the EEO-1 page, select Add Component 1.
- At the Employer Report drop-down list, select the applicable type of report.
- Select OK. Component 1 page appears.
- At the Additional Info section, enter the applicable Unit Number and NAICS Code, and then select Populate Form. The EEO-1 Form Settings window appears.
At the Workforce Snapshot section, enter the applicable period dates and any applicable filters.
Note: The snapshot period must be between 10/01/20xx – 12/31/20xx of a prior year to meet EEOC standards.- Select Save.
Create an EEO-1 Electronic File
Once the EEO-1 form is completed, an electronic CSV/TXT file can be generated, using the data file specifications set out by the EEOC. A company is responsible for sending this file to the EEOC each year.
Navigation: Menu > Team > HR > Forms > Government Forms > EEO-1
From the EEO-1 page, select the box next to the applicable Component 1 type, and then select Electronic File.
Note: If any required fields were missed when the form was created, an error will generate stating what fields need to be corrected before the file can be generated.- At the applicable fields, enter the Company Number (provided by the EEOC) and select the File Type needed.
- Select OK.
